Ms. Priyanka Thakur is a RCI registered Rehabilitation Psychologist. She has done her Mphil. in Rehabilitation Psychology from Niepvd, Dehradun. Her masters is in Psychology with specialization In Clinical Psychology from M. K. P(P.G ) College Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Ms. Priyanka has started an Ngo, named, ‘Paonta Mental Healthcare Welfare Foundation’ in Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh with two main goals.
First, to provide counselling and therapy for mental disorders.
Second, to work on animal welfare.
Ms. Priyanka Thakur is also an awardee of prestigious Global Women’s Inspiration Award by India’s leading Non Profitable Organization, I Can Foundation for overcoming various psychosocial challenges of society and reaching the destination where today she is standing tall, adorned with all the awards in her bag. She also received Strongest Women Awards by Crazy Tales, a premium digital content publishing company, twice, in Best Psychologist category for her outstanding performance and achievements .
She has opened an Ngo under name Paonta Mental Healthcare Welfare Foundation to provide mental health counselling services along with pharmacological treatment in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. PMHWF is a first venture of its own kind in the town focussing on mental health of its people. She feels that mental health is the most neglected topic which needs to be addressed today. With commoners getting more awareness about mental health today, her motto is to heal people psychologically and help them live a quality life.
